When participants cannot safely pull their own weight and fit into a harness, unable to engage, this develops an improved negative self-image. When a participant is pressured by workmates and schoolmates to climb a telephone pole and can barely get off the ladder.

Many rope class facilitators work really hard to make team-oriented apps on the high ropes course. Most facilities don't have the proper setup and staff to trigger a team of those components. One or at most three individuals are getting active on the ropes course, while you've got the rest of the team watching and sitting. 

Usually you will have some participants who lose interest in most people and this takes away from your team process. The only real active time can be 10 to 15 minutes on the component and just 3 to 4 hours sitting on the seat eating snacks and worrying about each other.

With bad facilities it becomes a rope course which is an amusement park with long fat, bad weather, excessive and filthy food and an annoying guide.

The principles curriculum requires their match with team building, leadership development, as well as school-based culture construction and anti-violence programs if correctly tied to the student and work-life to facilitate any experience.
